17th Sep 2017. Grapes pictured above, were in excellent condition The trailer was under a marquee to ensure the grapes stayed dry andpout of the sun. Weather mainly dry, sunny and warm. The odd light shower was forecast but didn’t materialise, 19C max. Grapes, clean, exceptional condition, no wasp, little bird damage, no disease.

Crushing/pressing 18 Sep 2017. Free-run juice: sugar 76 Oechsle, acid 8.5 g/l acid.
Wine chaptalised to raise alcohol to 11.5%, vinified in stainless steel tanks. Minimum intervention winemaking. Fermented out to full dryness. One barrique's worth (225l) matured for 5 months in our Seguin Moreau "Fraicheur" barrique on the lees from the end of fermentation to bottling.
Blended back with the same wine matured in our one barrique. This barrique is specially made for light white varietals and has staves of very lightly toasted fine-grained French oak and heads of acacia wood to give a little extra brightness of flavour.
Filtered and bottled 28 Mar 2018: clear, 410g 75cl Bordeaux bottles sealed with top quality traditional cork. Label FSC certified Tintoretto paper. 1496 bottles made.
