Wine matured in our two Seguin Moreau "Fraicheur" oak barriques.
This is our premium still wine with a rather stellar record in competitions. The 2016 won GOLD and TROPHY in the SW regional awards 2018 and GOLD in the Independent English Wine Awards (IEWA) 2019, the only competitions it entered.
The 2017 vintage again won GOLD and the CHALLENGE CUP in the WineGB West Awards 2019, the only competition it entered before selling out.
There have been few competitions in 2020 but the current vintage won SILVER in the IEWA 2020, pre-release.
This barrel was specially developed to enhance light, white varietal wines by Seguin Moreau of Cognac, respected French coopers. The oak is fine-grained and extremely lightly toasted and the barrel has acacia heads, adding brighter notes to the oak.
Fully-dry. Only 575 bottles made, each hand numbered.
No capsule over the natural cork closure.
